Director's Cut release date for the UK?

According to some alert readers on our forums, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) website has listed a UK release date for the Director's Cut: September 1, 2004. We don't know how official that is, but it appears to be a good estimate if nothing else. Metrodome is the UK distributor for the film. No mention on that site how wide the release will be.
